Archana Kumar is an international, professional performance artist, dancer and actor whose heart thrives on stage and film with a few films already released on OTT platforms. She prefers to speak of the uncomfortable truths, picking everything out from under the rug. Her solos & choreographies are evocative, bold & raw. Her movement training started with Baratanatyam, to Kathak to Flamenco, Modern dance techniques & Contact Improvisation during her 11-year residence in USA. She was also extensively trained in Butoh and Physical theater (2005-2019) from her late mentor Hiroshi Ohashi (Tokyo, Japan) through a collaborative project, “Asia Meets Asia” which continues to date. She has performed around USA, Canada, in China, Indonesia, South Korea & extensively in Japan. She now trains others in Kathak, Flamenco, Irish and Contemporary dance.
