Beyond Linear Learning

The B.Des program is inherently different from conventional undergraduate pathways, both in its intent and its structure. As a studio-led, practice-driven discipline, the curriculum evolves through experience, reflection, and making, rather than linear content delivery. It begins with cognitive and perceptual grounding, where students learn to see, interpret, and question the world, before gradually moving into systems thinking, media fluency, and research-led inquiry. This progression reflects the nature of design itself - iterative, layered, and deeply contextual.

Year-wise Curriculum Structure

Year 1 : Foundation: Cognitive & Perceptual.
Year 2 : Systems, Media & Research Foundations.
Year 3 : Applied Practice & Specialisation (Production Pipelines).
Year 4 : Leadership, Research & Independence.

What Sets this Program Apart?

Studio-Led, Practice-Driven Learning

  • Integrative studios run through all semesters (I–VII).
  • Continuous juries, critiques, and portfolio reviews.
  • Real-world briefs embedded into coursework.
