Dr. P Dayananda Pai is a prominent educationist, philanthropist and leading developer in Bangalore city. He is associated with and holds key positions in several educational, cultural, sports, literary and religious organizations.

Dr. P Dayananda Pai is a prominent educationist, philanthropist and leading developer in Bengaluru. Apart from being the Managing Trustee of VSEG, Dr. Pai is also the Board Trustee of B.M.S. College as well as Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, and a Trustee of Karnataka Chitrakala Parishad. He is also the syndicate member of Manipal University and the National Institute of Technology, Surathkal. He has served as the former syndicate member of Mangalore University. Dr. Pai has been awarded the Karnataka Udyog Award, the Karnataka Rajyotsava Award and the Aryabhatta Award for initiatives involving social and charitable activities. He was conferred an Honorary Doctorate by Mangalore University for his exceptional contribution in the field of education and philanthropy.

Dr. Kiran Pai (Ed.D.) is the co-founder and Pro-Chancellor of Vidyashilp University. She is also the Director of three prominent schools in Bangalore, India - Vidyashilp Academy, Vidyashilp School and Vidyasagar Preschool.
Dr. Pai is a trained Educational Psychologist with expertise in Instructional Design. She earned her Doctorate in Education (Ed.D) in Organizational Change and Leadership and her Masters in Education in Learning Design and Technology (M.Ed LDT) at the Rossier School of Education, University of Southern California, USA. She was recently awarded the prestigious 2021 Doctoral Distinction Award in recognition of her scholarly work. She is also the recipient of the 2020 Honors from the U.S. based Kappa Delta Pi International Society in Education, which acknowledges only the top 20 percent of prominent international scholars in the field. She was the recipient of the 50 Innovative Leaders award in India awarded by the World Education Congress and Prof. Indira Parikh. Dr Pai undertook most of her professional training in educational leadership at Harvard University, Boston and the IIM-A. Dr. Pai is a member of the American Education Research Association (AERA) and the American Psychological Association (APA).
Under her stewardship as the Director of schools in the last fourteen years, Vidyashilp Academy and Vidyasagar Preschools have won the IBCI School Brilliance awards, World Education awards for Pedagogy, and have been consistently ranked as one of the best co-ed day schools in the country. Additionally, her school’s revolutionary pedagogy has attracted long-term global and national partnerships with organizations such as UNESCO, IISc, IIM-A, University of Missouri, National Institute of Advanced Sciences and the Atal Innovation Mission. Specifically, Vidyashilp Academy is the only school in India identified by UNESCO Asia Pacific for its leading-edge pedagogical practices. To date, numerous organizations and conference papers continue to cite the school as a concrete example of best practices in promoting learner well-being. Additionally, she is also the Founder-Director of Vidyashilp Community Trust, a large-scale government school reform project for over 3,000 disadvantaged youth.

Prof. Babu carries an exemplary record of impactful leadership and profound knowledge in educational administration and policy formulation. His transformative tenure as the Director of the Madras Institute of Development Studies was marked by a commitment to rigorous academic standards and visionary leadership.
Previously holding the prestigious Adam Smith Chair Professorship in Philosophy and Economics at the University of Bayreuth in Germany, Prof. Babu's global influence is underscored by invitations to teach at renowned institutions such as Yale University, the University of Hamburg, and the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad.
Acknowledged for his outstanding work on climate change decision-making frameworks, Professor Babu received a citation from the Honorable Prime Minister of India as part of the Nobel Memorial Prize-recognized IPCC working group. His expertise extends beyond academia into impactful policy-making, with engagements in prestigious public institutions such as the Senate of IIT Bombay and the Board of Governors of the Institute of Economic Growth (IEG) Delhi.
As a pivotal figure in advancing frontier research, Professor Babu is the Managing Editor of the Journal of Quantitative Economics, published by Springer Nature. His commitment is further demonstrated in roles such as a member of the Board of Governors at the Institute of Economic Growth Delhi and Editor-in-Chief of the Review of Development and Change.
With 30 years of dedicated service at the Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research (IGIDR) Mumbai, an institution established by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Professor Babu's leadership promises to elevate Vidyashilp University to new heights. His wealth of experience, commitment to academic excellence, and impactful contributions to research make him a driving force in shaping our University’s future.
