Biography

Dr. Saroj joined Vidyashilp University in August 2025 as an assistant professor in the School of Computational and Data Sciences. She worked in theoretical machine learning during her term as a PhD candidate at Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati. Her research focused on incremental learning and unlearning using multiple views. Before this, she obtained her MTech degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati. It was during this time that she discovered her interest in teaching.

Dr. Saroj had a teaching experience of 3 years before coming to Vidyashilp University. She takes a flexible approach to teaching by identifying the collective need of her class and the individual needs of each student. She encourages active participation and believes in real-time feedback and freedom in learning.
