The unique B.Sc (Hons) program at Vidyashilp University, focuses on developing data driven foundational Decision Science skills in young graduates, to solve business problems. Since Decision Science centers around solving real-world business problems, exposure to them is important for a practical learning experience. Therefore, Vidyashilp University has collaborated with Mu Sigma as its Industry Experience Partner for this program.
The curriculum is not limited to just domain relevant content, but also business contexts with live problem solving. It also includes intensive coaching, exposure to real-world case studies, and an apprenticeship at Mu Sigma to help students become competent Decision Scientists. Students are placed into a problem solving business context since Semester 1 and progressively led to total immersion by the final year.

Why VU for Decision Sciences?
An interdisciplinary curriculum in holistic problem solving, rooted in Technology, Mathematics, Business, Behavioral Science and Design Thinking from Year 1 that helps you understand concepts of Data Engineering and Data Science, and the practice of Decision Science
You will get hands-on practise of Decision Sciences, progressively from the 1st Semester to a full immersion in the 8th Semester, with marquee clients of Mu Sigma. Go through intense practice, industry immersion, and live projects across different industry verticals like logistics, healthcare, finance, manufacturing etc. This will also help you understand Mu Sigma’s proprietary Art of Problem Solving (AoPS™)
As a VU graduate of the B.Sc (Hons) Decision Sciences program, you will directly get placed into Mu Sigma as a Trainee Decision Scientist (TDS) and work with mid and senior leadership of Fortune 500 companies, solving some of their most complex and impactful problems. Post 4 years of a successful TDS journey, you will be eligible for a performance-based promotion to Apprentice Leader (AL) where you can lead a team and manage accounts and customers
