Biography

Anchored in the deep waters of legal academia and advocacy, Mr. Anurag Sarthi is a law professor, researcher, and writer whose work bridges the realms of maritime security, environmental sustainability, and public law. He holds an LL.M. in Coastal and Maritime Security Law and Governance from Rashtriya Raksha University (Distinction, 2nd Rank) and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Law at the University of Delhi. He has also earned a Post Graduate Diploma in Environmental Law and Policy from NLU Delhi with a Grade A (First Class).

Mr. Sarthi brings a unique blend of academic rigor and practical insight, having served as an advocate enrolled with the Bar Council of Delhi and as a faculty member at Raffles Law School, Raffles University. His teaching portfolio includes subjects such as Law of Torts, Environmental Law, Administrative Law, Law of the Sea, and Alternative Dispute Resolution. During his tenure, he actively contributed to institutional development through NAAC coordination, moot court initiatives, and career counselling sessions.

A recognized researcher, he has published Scopus-indexed book chapters and articles on climate change, maritime governance, and legal adaptation to emerging technologies. His recent editorial work includes the book Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita: A Departure from the Colonial Era. He has also presented papers at numerous national and international conferences, with accolades such as the Best Paper Presenter Award validating his scholarly contributions. Mr. Sarthi has served as a judge for several national moot court competitions and has contributed to legal academia by drafting moot propositions for prominent events. He has completed multiple certifications including those by the ICRC and IARC. Anurag's creative side shines through his interest in street theatre, script writing, and innovative legal thinking—he is also the inventor of a Legal Documentation Verification Kiosk, a design registered in 2024.
