Dr. Bijil Prakash is the Director of Campus Life within the Office of Student Affairs and an Associate Professor in the School of Engineering and Technology (formerly the School of Computational and Data Science) at Vidyashilp University, Bengaluru. As one of the university’s founding faculty members, he combines over 17 years of higher education leadership, institutional governance, and pedagogical excellence, including a transformative decade at BITS Pilani KK Birla Goa Campus.

In his administrative capacity, Dr. Bijil oversees university-level student affairs, campus life and key governance frameworks, serving on the Academic Council and steering statutory compliance across student welfare bodies. Academically, he bridges quantitative modeling and data-driven optimization with student-centric administration. He holds a Ph.D. from BITS Pilani and advanced degrees in Mathematics and Modeling & Simulation. His research centers on numerical methods, fractional calculus, wavelets, and image processing.
