The Equal Opportunity Cell (EOC) at Vidyashilp University was constituted to address the issues relating to marginalisation and exclusion of groups, including those based on caste, creed, religion, language, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender and disability, amongst students, faculty and staff of the Vidyashilp University. The EOC also proactively works on discrimination policies, grievance redressal procedures, and sensitization programmes.

The UGC-GOI vide D.O. letter No. 1-2/2024(SCT/Circular) dated 10th January 2025 requested for establishment of Equal Opportunity Centres in Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs), and the submission of requisite information, as per the directive of the Hon’ble Supreme Court in a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) and that the University Grants Commission (UGC) is in the process of collecting data on the implementation of the UGC (Promotion of Equity in Higher Educational Institutions) Regulations, 2012.
