Mr. Tarique Faiyaz is a faculty member at the Law School, Vidyashilp University. He completed his B.A.LL.B from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh and LL.M from Amity University, Noida, both in First Class Honours. After that he joined the Bar and has worked as a lawyer in and around Delhi. Currently he is a doctoral student at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India. He has participated and presented papers in various national and international conferences. Mr. Tarique Faiyaz has completed a "Certificate Course in International Law- June 2007" organized by the Indian Society of International Law, New Delhi, India. He has extensively contributed research papers in journals of international repute on issues concerning ocean governance, maritime security, intersection of AI and the law, and transnational organized crime. He has peer-reviewed articles for Journal of the Territorial and Maritime Studies (JTMS). He is engaged in research in the fields of International Law, Ocean Governance, International Environmental Law, as well as intersections of AI and Law.
