Dr. Ayesha Irum holds a Ph.D. in Management with a specialization in Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management from the Indian Institute of Management Rohtak. Prior to her doctoral studies, she earned a bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering. Her doctoral research focused on dirty work and occupations, and her broader research interests include workplace identity, self-managed careers, and negative workplace behaviors. She has published in leading international journals such as Management Learning, Human Resource Management Journal, and the European Journal of Work and Organizational Psychology and has presented her research at prestigious international conferences, including the Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management (AOM).

Complementing her academic pursuits, she has gained three years of industry experience with leading consumer insights firms in India. During this time, she has contributed to research projects across diverse industries, working closely with global brands to translate consumer behavior into actionable insights that have informed brand strategy, marketing communications, and business decision-making. Her professional experience enriches her teaching by bridging behavioral theories with contemporary management practice. Through experiential learning, practical industry insights, and interactive pedagogy, she aims to equip students with the analytical skills and behavioral perspectives needed to address organizational and managerial challenges.
