IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) is a global network committed to promoting women in engineering and science, while inspiring young women worldwide to pursue academic interests leading to careers in these domains. The IEEE WIE VU Chapter serves as a platform to foster professional growth, networking, and innovation among students and faculty at Vidyashilp University.

What We Do

The WIE VU Chapter will organize events, workshops, mentorship programs, and collaborative research initiatives to empower women in engineering. Our focus is on knowledge sharing, leadership development, and promoting gender diversity in STEM fields.

Events/Workshops/Seminars

The IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) Student Chapter (SBA60216867) was officially launched at Vidyashilp University in the presence of Vice Chancellor Prof. P. G. Babu and Program Chair Prof. Smitha Rao on 7th March 2025. The event was a significant milestone in promoting gender diversity in engineering and technology. Both dignitaries motivated the students with inspiring words, emphasizing the importance of leadership and innovation. The celebration concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony, marking the beginning of an exciting journey for WIE at VU.
