Dr. Monica Daniel is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at the School of Liberal Arts and Design Studies. She holds a Ph.D. in Psychology from Central University of Karnataka, where her research focused on the development and validation of a psychometric scale in the area of substance use. Dr. Monica earned her B.Sc. in Psychology, securing 5th rank at the university level, followed by an M.Sc. in Psychology with a dual specialization in Clinical and Counselling Psychology, where she achieved 2nd rank. She has also qualified the UGC-NET examination, further strengthening her academic credentials. Before joining Vidyashilp University, Dr. Monica served as Assistant Professor and Department Coordinator at the Department of Applied Psychology, GITAM University, Bengaluru. Her academic and research interests span across clinical, health, social, and positive psychology. She has published scientific papers in reputed Scopus-indexed journals and has presented award-winning research at various national and international conferences. Dr. Monica actively conducts workshops on research methodology, wellness, and mental health, with a focus on personal development and psychological well-being. As a passionate educator, she emphasizes student-centered, application-based learning approaches in her teaching. Her commitment to blending theory with practice, combined with her focus on experiential learning, defines her teaching philosophy.
