A key goal of the School of Computational and Data Sciences is to inculcate in students the ability to make good judgments, use tools responsibly and effectively, and ultimately make good decisions using data. This collection of abilities is defined as 'Data Acumen'.

Our goal in the education of future data scientists is to instil Data Acumen. This requires exposure to key concepts in data science, real-world data and problems that can reinforce the limitations of tools, and ethical considerations that permeate many applications.

To that end, the programs offered by the School of Computational and Data Sciences will focus on instilling knowledge from multiple disciplines—notably, mathematical, statistical, and computational foundations—and training in data acquisition, modeling, management and curation, data visualization, workflow and reproducibility, communication and teamwork, domain-specific considerations, and ethical problem solving.

Design Studies

The ideologies of liberal arts and Vidyashilp University's attributes are closely linked. An interdisciplinary culture is the need of the hour in India and Vidyashilp offers the same. Student-teacher relationships are built and encouraged for a smooth University experience. These ideologies help break the chains of structured knowledge and help the graduate in exploring wider views of critical thinking and question existing ideologies at an individual capacity. The School of Business Studies with a specific focus on Digital Business offers students an insightful view into the future. The programs are designed for students who are curious and have the aspiration to learn how to combine new knowledge on Digital Business, Management and Administration, while responding to disruptive corporate industry challenges.

Our goal is to educate future business leaders who understand the opportunities and challenges of digitization, make informed decisions, and shape the digital transformation in their organizations.

The programs offered by the School of Business Studies take an interdisciplinary approach to business fundamentals, so that the students can move seamlessly from “what is” to “what will be.”

Legal Study

School of Legal Studies
and Governance

Legal Studies is not an autonomous domain! It is, by its very nature, ‘transdisciplinary’. The fundamental premise is that law and legal studies can be better understood and practised with a transdisciplinary perspective of the problem or issue. The connectedness of knowledge, application of skills, and transfer to a real-world setting should be the hallmarks of legal education.

The School and Legal Studies and Governance is established with a focus of providing a transdisciplinary multidimensional legal education. Part of the concentric arrangement of the Schools at the University, learning at this School provides a strong platform to explore Law at various intersections, and build holistic and diverse perspectives.
