We believe a quality higher education experience has the power to transform the lives of students and the society in which they live. We are committed to creating meaningful and collective learning experiences – The Vidyashilp Experience – with a focus on building domain expertise to raise conscientious leaders who envision the world in which they want to live and take collaborative action to make it real.
The purpose of Vidyashilp University fully aligns with the new and forward-looking vision for India’s higher education system as articulated by the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020:
“At the societal level, higher education must enable the development of an enlightened, socially conscious, knowledgeable, and skilled nation that can find and implement robust solutions to its own problems. Higher education must form the basis for knowledge creation and innovation thereby contributing to a growing national economy. The purpose of quality higher education is, therefore, more than the creation of greater opportunities for individual employment. It represents the key to more vibrant, socially engaged, cooperative communities and a happier, cohesive, cultured, productive, innovative, progressive, and prosperous nation.” (NEP 2020 – 9.1.3)
Vidyashilp University is a meeting place for knowledge, culture and critical dialogue. The student is the most important person on the Vidyashilp campus. Everything we pursue – academic excellence, scholarly teaching, interdisciplinary studies, research and innovation, sports and cultural engagements, leadership development – all converge to create opportunities and inspire students to achieve their goals and career aspirations. When it comes to securing a future career, Vidyashilp recognizes the importance of shifting the focus from “how can today’s students prepare for the jobs of tomorrow?” to “how can today’s students differentiate themselves and provide the most value in the new world of work?”.
To this end, the single-eyed focus of the entire University community is to equip our students learn how to learn, to become able to thrive and adapt within changing conditions, and discover the power of the love for learning.
